U.S. 1 North Overnight Lane Restrictions Scheduled For Resurfacing In Bucks County

PennDOT News, Road Work Updates | April 27th, 2018

Overnight lane restrictions are scheduled on northbound U.S. 1 from the Pennsylvania Turnpike Interchange to just north of the Route 413 (Bellevue Avenue) exit in Bensalem and Middletown townships and Langhorne Manor Borough, Bucks County, beginning Sunday, April 29, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM for milling and paving operations as part of a project to repair and resurface 27 miles of state highway in Bucks County.

This Sunday through Thursday operation will continue through Thursday, May 24 says PennDOT.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work zone because slowdowns will occur during construction. The contractor’s schedule is dependent on the weather.

Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling the existing roadway surface and repaving the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will seal the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.
