PennDOT District 6 says Interstate 95 and Interstate 295 motorists in Bucks County will encounter single lane closures in both directions between the Academy Road and U.S. 1 interchanges on Monday, January 28 through Friday, February 1 from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM for subbase installation on a project to repair and resurface 13 miles of the interstates in Bensalem, Bristol, Middletown and Lower Makefield townships.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling on I-95 and I-295 in the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling, overlaying and rehabilitating existing pavement; performing base repairs; installing new guide rail; repairing or replacing damaged traffic signs; performing minor bridge deck repairs; and installing rumble strips and delineators along the I-95 and I-295 corridor in Bucks County.
