Newtown Artesian Water Company is scheduled to close State Street weeknights between Penn Street and Washington Avenue in Newtown Borough, Bucks County beginning Sunday, July 30, through mid-September, from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM for utility installation.
PennDOT says that during construction State Street motorists will be detoured over Washington Avenue and Lincoln Avenue.
Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because slowdowns will occur during construction.
