SEPTA has announced it is reinstating parking fees using a phased approach from September 23 through November 15 after four years of offering free parking to help attract customers back to the system.

As part of this change, the traditional slot boxes will be phased out and replaced with modern pay stations, which will be installed at all surface lots and garages. These pay stations will accept credit/debit cards and coins, reflecting our commitment to improving customer convenience. Additionally, mobile payment options will be available via text or through a dedicated mobile app.
Detailed instructions to be posted at stations, and SEPTA ambassadors will be onsite to answer questions.
Parking Enforcement Officers will read license plates using vehicle-mounted cameras. Violations or warnings will be issued for illegally parked vehicles.
