PennDOT District 6 says eastbound Rockhill Drive will be reduced to a single lane between Old Lincoln Highway and Neshaminy Boulevard in Bensalem Township, Bucks County on Monday, May 6, through Friday, May 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for soil boring.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather permitting.
This work is in advance of a project to reconstruct, widen and improve a 1.5-mile section of U.S. 1 (Lincoln Highway) from just south of the Rockhill Drive Interchange to just north of the Business U.S. 1 (Penndel) Interchange in Bensalem and Middletown townships.
Construction on this project is expected to start in late 2021 and will be funded with 80 percent federal and 20 percent state dollars.
