Quakertown Elementary Students Get Free Bicycle Safety Helmets!

Highway Safety News, TMA News | August 19th, 2025

Our Community Traffic Safety Program recently distributed free bicycle safety helmets to students at Quakertown Elementary School of Quakertown Community School District.

Forty students were properly fitted for their helmets and also sent home with bicycle safety brochures at the district’s “Back To School Ice Cream Social Event” on August 19.

“Making sure every student has a properly fitted helmet is one of the simplest and most powerful ways we can protect them,” said TMA Bucks Community Traffic Safety Program manager Carly Wible. “At a back-to-school safety event where this particular school has several bicyclists and walkers, it’s not just about giving out helmets, it’s about teaching lifelong healthy habits that keep kids safe on every ride or trip to and from school.”

If your school or daycare would like to schedule free programming on highway safety topics please contact Carly Wible at carly@bcmta.com or 267-895-5186.
