Quakertown Elementary School Students Learn Bicycle Safety Through Thrilling BMX Stunt Show

Highway Safety News, TMA News | May 11th, 2026

In collaboration with the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission, our Community Traffic Safety Program recently brought an exciting BMX stunt show school safety assembly and presentation to Quakertown Elementary School students of the Quakertown Community School District.

This dynamic and energetic program emphasized bicycle safety including proper helmet use through exciting BMX demonstrations from professional BMX bikers from Dialed Action Sports to students.

Made possible through the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission’s Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside grant funding, this initiative provided a free, engaging educational experience that merged thrill with safety awareness like the importance of always wearing a helmet.

“Watching students light up as professional BMX riders performed high-energy stunts while sharing critical lessons about helmet use, bicycle safety, and smart decision-making made this program incredibly impactful,” said TMA Bucks deputy director David Walter. “The assembly created a unique opportunity to connect with elementary school students in a fun, memorable, and engaging way while reinforcing life-saving safety habits they can carry with them every time they ride. We were proud to bring this exciting experience to the Quakertown school community and help promote a stronger culture of bicycle and helmet safety among students.”
