Construction is scheduled to begin on Monday, March 13 to replace the Route 313 (Dublin Pike) culvert over Morris Run in Hilltown Township, Bucks County. PennDOT says the new concrete arch culvert is expected to reopen in May.
Over the next two months, crews will work to replace the existing structurally-deficient culvert with a new concrete arch culvert. During the operation, Route 313 (Dublin Pike) will be closed and detoured between Blue School Road and Bedminster Road. Cars will be detoured over North Ridge Road, Elephant Road, and Bedminster Road. Trucks will follow Route 563 (Ridge Road), Route 309 and Route 113 (Souderton Road).
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.
Built in 1930, the one-span concrete culvert is 10 feet long and 44-feet wide. The structure carries 13,446 vehicles a day.
