PennDOT News, Road Work Updates | November 4th, 2016

PennDOT has announced that construction is scheduled to begin Monday, November 7 on a $3,732,792 contract to repair and resurface 15 miles of state highway in Bucks County.

From Monday, November 7, through Thursday, November 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, crews will work weekdays to repair the roadway base on Route 412 (Durham Road) between Route 611 (Easton Road) and Route 212 (Durham Road) in Springfield and Nockamixon townships. The work is being done in preparation for resurfacing this section of Route 412 (Durham Road) starting in spring 2017. The additional two state highways to be resurfaced in 2017 are:

  • Route 563 (Ridge Road) between County Line Road and Park Avenue in West Rockhill Township and Perkasie Borough; and
  • Kurmy Road between Sleepy Hollow Road and Creamery Road in Trumbauersville Borough and Milford Township.
Under this improvement project, PennDOT will mill off the existing roadway surface and repave the three state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will seal the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface. All work on the project is expected to be completed in July 2017.
