PennDOT District 6 has reopened the bridge carrying Thatcher Road over Tohickon Creek in Richland Township, Bucks County following the completion of a rehabilitation project.
PennDOT’s contractor removed and replaced the existing superstructure; installed a new bridge deck; performed concrete abutment repairs; paved the roadway; and repaired the guiderail.
Built in 1973, the Thatcher Road Bridge over Tohickon Creek, 201 feet long and 48 feet wide, carries an average of 2,461 vehicles a day.
