PennDOT District 6 announced on December 11 that it has reopened the bridge carrying Old Lincoln Highway over a branch of Neshaminy Creek in Bensalem Township, Bucks County following the completion of a bridge replacement project.
PennDOT’s contractor replaced the existing steel pipe-arch culvert with a new precast concrete box culvert. The new culvert replaces the original single-span structure which was built in 1921. It is 15-feet long, 57-feet wide and carries an average of 13,795 vehicles a day.
