Our Community Traffic Safety Program recently presented pedestrian and bicycle safety information to all first grade students at Brookwood Elementary School of Bristol Township School District in Levittown.
The children’s safety book “Franklin’s Bicycle Helmet ” was read to all first-grade classes to highlight the importance of always wearing a safety helmet when riding your bicycle and not to be influenced or peer pressured in a negative way by those around you.
Students also viewed a short presentation on pedestrian safety that highlighted everything from traffic signals and signs to reminders of being aware for motorists when playing in neighborhoods.
