New Share-A-Ride Site Launched For Bucks County Residents

PennDOT News, TMA News, Transit News | March 2nd, 2023

We recently announced we have launched a Share-A-Ride website which is a free, computerized service offered by the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission that can match commuters who live in Bucks County and work in southeastern Pennsylvania with others who want to carpool or vanpool.

The site can be accessed at https://sharearide.agilemile.com/tmabucks and we hope it can be a resource where Bucks County businesses and their employees can discover sustainable travel options.

“By sharing a ride or telecommuting, commuters can save money and reduce the stress of getting to and from work or wherever they need to go,” explained our executive director Stephen Noll. “This not only gives people more options for getting around but also helps ease congestion and keeps the air cleaner too by taking some vehicles off the road.”

The site also incentivizes commuters who sign up and record their sustainable trips on the Share-A-Ride trip calendar to earn points that can be redeemed for gift card drawing entries, restaurant coupons, retailer discounts, and tickets to shows and attractions. Users can even set up recurring trips to automatically record to a trip calendar.

The site also includes a trip planner to find rides for a daily commute, hybrid office, appointment, or even a special event. The trip planner will also show public transit, biking, and other options if available.

Visit the Share-A-Ride web platform at https://sharearide.agilemile.com/tmabucks or download the iOS or Android app and sign up.
