Main Street Lane Restrictions For Roadway Reconstruction In Sellersville Borough

PennDOT News, Road Work Updates | May 1st, 2019

PennDOT District 6 says Main Street will be reduced to a single lane with flagging between Park Avenue and Elm Street in Sellersville Borough, Bucks County, on Thursday, May 9, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, and from 7:00 PM Friday, May 10, to 12:00 PM Sunday, May 12 for roadway reconstruction as part of the project to replace the three-span bridge carrying Main Street over Perkiomen Creek.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area because backups and slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Under this project, PennDOT’s contractor is replacing the current structure with a new two-span, pre-stressed, concrete bulb-tee beam bridge; installing eight-foot sidewalks on both sides of the structure; reconstructing and resurfacing the bridge approaches; and performing safety upgrades and other miscellaneous construction.

Construction on this bridge improvement project is expected to be completed this spring.
