The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission has announced that the removal of the old Scudder Falls Bridge’s concrete deck has been completed over PA Route 32/River Road, so the daytime closures and detours that were scheduled for the week of September 16 at that location will not be necessary.
Only intermittent brief traffic stoppages are scheduled to take place the week of September 16 along the PA Route 32/River Road segment in the vicinity of the bridge. (Note: The removal of the old bridge’s steel girders will take place at another juncture during the project. A new set of closures and detours will be scheduled for that work.)
