Impaired & Distracted Driving Awareness Demonstration Held At Bucks County Community College

Highway Safety News, TMA News | March 2nd, 2026

Our Community Traffic Safety Program recently held an impaired and distracted driving educational demonstration for Bucks County Community College students at the Gene and Marlene Epstein Campus at Lower Bucks.

Students throughout the day had the opportunity to try fatal vision impairment goggles to simulate behaviors of individuals impaired by alcohol at different Blood Alcohol Content levels. There was also an opportunity to try marijuana and drug impairment goggles as well as drowsy goggles and receive materials highlighting the importance of making safe and smart decisions when driving.

“The goal of the demonstration was to show students, in a powerful and realistic way, how impaired vision and slowed reactions can affect their ability to function safely,” explained Community Traffic Safety Program manager of TMA Bucks Carly Wible. “By using fatal vision goggles, we aim to promote the importance of making informed, responsible choices that can potentially save lives, prevent serious injuries, and protect not only themselves but everyone around them.”
