Intermittent lane closures continue on northbound Interstate 95 between New Falls Road and the Yardley Newtown Interchange on Monday, September 18, through Friday, September 22, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning for construction activities as part of a project to repair and resurface 13 miles of Interstate 95 in Bensalem, Bristol, Middletown and Lower Makefield townships, Bucks County.
In addition, PennDOT says intermittent lane closures are scheduled on U.S. 1 between the Woodbourne and Oxford Valley Road interchanges on Monday, September 18, through Friday, September 22, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, for bridge joint repairs.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling on I-95 and U.S. 1 in the work areas because backups and delays will occur. The contractor’s schedule is weather dependent.
Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling, overlaying and rehabilitating existing pavement; performing base repairs; installing new guide rail; repairing or replacing damaged traffic signs; performing minor bridge deck repairs; and installing rumble strips and delineators along the I-95 corridor in Bucks County. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in fall 2018.
