PennDOT says intermittent lane closures are scheduled on northbound and southbound Interstate 95 between the Yardley Newtown Interchange and New Falls Road on Monday, July 24, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, for construction activities as part of a project to repair and resurface 13 miles of Interstate 95 in Bensalem, Bristol, Middletown and Lower Makefield townships, Bucks County.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling on I-95 in the work area because backups and delays will occur. The contractor’s schedule is weather dependent.
Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling, overlaying and rehabilitating existing pavement; performing base repairs; installing new guide rail; repairing or replacing damaged traffic signs; performing minor bridge deck repairs; and installing rumble strips and delineators along the I-95 corridor in Bucks County. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in fall 2018.
