PennDOT says intermittent overnight lane closures are scheduled on northbound and southbound Interstate 95 from Route 413 to just north of Academy Road on Wednesday, December 20, and Thursday, December 21, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM for core testing as part of a project to repair and resurface 13 miles of Interstate 95 in Bensalem, Bristol, Middletown and Lower Makefield townships, Bucks County.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling on I-95 in the work areas because backups and delays will occur. The contractor’s schedule is weather dependent.
Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling, overlaying and rehabilitating existing pavement; performing base repairs; installing new guide rail; repairing or replacing damaged traffic signs; performing minor bridge deck repairs; and installing rumble strips and delineators along the I-95 corridor in Bucks County. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in fall 2018.
