PennDOT says Interstate 95 motorists will encounter double lane closures between the Academy Road and Route 413 (Bristol) interchanges on Monday, July 9, through Friday, July 13, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, for patching and joint sealing operations as part of a project to repair and resurface 13 miles of I-95 in Bensalem, Bristol, Middletown and Lower Makefield townships, Bucks County.
The work locations are:
- Northbound I-95 between the Academy Road and Route 132 (Street Road) interchanges.
- Southbound I-95 between the Route 413 (Bristol) and Route 132 (Street Road) interchanges.
In addition, a single lane closure will be in place on northbound I-95 between the Route 413 (Bristol) and Route 332 (Newtown Yardley) interchanges on Monday, July 9, through Friday, July 13, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling on I-95 in the work areas because backups and delays will occur. The contractor’s schedule is weather dependent.
Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling, overlaying and rehabilitating existing pavement; performing base repairs; installing new guide rail; repairing or replacing damaged traffic signs; performing minor bridge deck repairs; and installing rumble strips and delineators along the I-95 corridor in Bucks County. The entire project is scheduled to be completed this fall.
