I-95 Lane Closures At Night For Repair And Resurfacing Operations In Bucks County

PennDOT District 6 has announced that Interstate 95 motorists will encounter single and double lane closures between the Academy Road and Route 332 (Newtown Yardley) interchanges on Monday, July 30, through Friday, August 3 from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM for construction activities on a project to repair and resurface 13 miles of I-95 in Bensalem, Bristol, Middletown and Lower Makefield townships, Bucks County.

The work schedule is:

  • Double lane closures are scheduled on northbound I-95 between the Academy Road and Route 132 (Street Road) interchanges.
  • A single left lane closure is planned on southbound I-95 between the Route 332 (Newtown Yardley) and Route 413 (Bristol) interchanges.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling on I-95 in the work areas because backups and delays will occur. The contractor’s schedule is weather dependent.

Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling, overlaying and rehabilitating existing pavement; performing base repairs; installing new guide rail; repairing or replacing damaged traffic signs; performing minor bridge deck repairs; and installing rumble strips and delineators along the I-95 corridor in Bucks County. The entire project is scheduled to be completed this fall.
