PennDOT District 6 has announced that Interstate 95 and Interstate 295 motorists will encounter single and double overnight lane closures between the Academy Road and Route 413 (Bristol) interchanges on Monday, August 13, through Friday, August 17 from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM for bridge deck repair, patching and paving operations as part of a project to repair and resurface 13 miles of I-95 and I-295 in Bensalem, Bristol, Middletown and Lower Makefield townships, Bucks County.
The planned work schedule is:
- Double lane closures will be in place on northbound I-95 between the Academy Road and Route 132 (Street Road) interchanges for paving and bridge deck repair.
- A single left lane closure will be in place on westbound I-295 and southbound I-95 between the Route 413 (Bristol) and Academy Road interchanges, for subbase installation.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling on I-95 and I-295 in the work areas because significant backups and delays will occur. The contractor’s schedule is weather dependent.
