I-95, I-295 Overnight Lane Closures For Construction In Bensalem, Bristol, Middletown & Lower Makefield

PennDOT District 6 says Interstate 95 and Interstate 295 motorists in Bucks County will encounter single and double lane closures on Monday, January 7 through Friday, January 11 from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM for subbase and guide rail installation on a project to repair and resurface 13 miles of the interstates in Bensalem, Bristol, Middletown and Lower Makefield townships. The work locations are:

  • Double lane closures on northbound I-95 and eastbound I-295 between the Route 132 (Street Road) and Route 413 (Bristol) interchanges for subbase installation.
  • Single lane and shoulder closures on northbound and southbound I-95 between the Academy Road and Pennsylvania Turnpike interchanges for guide rail installation.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling on I-95 and I-295 in the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling, overlaying and rehabilitating existing pavement; performing base repairs; installing new guide rail; repairing or replacing damaged traffic signs; performing minor bridge deck repairs; and installing rumble strips and delineators along the I-95 and I-295 corridor in Bucks County.
