PennDOT District 6 says Interstate 95 and Interstate 295 motorists in Bucks County will encounter lane closures the week of May 30 for bridge construction activities under a project to perform high-priority repairs.
On Wednesday, June 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Wednesday, June 1, through Friday, June 3, from 7:30 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, lane closures are scheduled on northbound and/or southbound I-95 and eastbound and/or westbound I-295 between the Route 413 (Bristol) and Business U.S. 1/Route 413 (Penndel/Levittown) interchanges in Bristol and Middletown townships.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Repairs to the 13 structures include replacing rocker bearings, frozen sliding plate bearings and deck expansion joints; cleaning and painting steel beams; repairing substructure concrete; and reconstructing bearing pedestals.
