High-Flying BMX Stunt Show Brings Bicycle Safety Message To Pennsbury School District

Highway Safety News, TMA News | May 13th, 2026

Our Community Traffic Safety Program recently brought an exciting BMX stunt show school safety assembly and presentation to middle school students of the Pennsbury School District.

This engaging program emphasized bicycle safety including proper helmet use through exciting BMX demonstrations from professional BMX bikers from Dialed Action Sports to students in sixth and seventh grade from Charles Boehm Middle School, William Penn Middle School and Pennwood Middle School.

We were joined by Yardley Borough Mayor Caroline Thompson, Yardley Borough Chief of Police William Golden, Yardley Borough Officer William Beaudet, as well as Lower Makefield Township Patrolman Jevin Downs, all of whom helped reinforce and support our important bicycle safety and helmet safety message for students and the community.

“This presentation connects with students in a powerful way because it combines the excitement of live BMX stunts with life-saving lessons about bicycle safety and helmet use,” said TMA Bucks deputy director David Walter. “Seeing professional riders perform incredible tricks while reinforcing smart, safe riding habits creates an experience students truly remember long after the assembly ends. It’s an engaging and energetic way to show kids that safety and fun can go hand in hand.”

Made possible through the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission’s Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside grant funding, this initiative provided a free, engaging educational experience that merged thrill with safety awareness like the importance of always wearing a helmet.

“As a District, we would like to thank our partners at TMA Bucks, Mayor Thompson of Yardley Borough, and Chief Golden and Officer Beaudet for coming to speak to our students about bike safety,” said Pennsbury Assistant Superintendent for Administration Kristopher Brown, Ed.D. “The assembly was a fun and engaging way to talk more about the importance of staying safe, wearing a helmet, and practicing safe habits while on the road, whether on a bike, an e-bike, or a scooter. Our middle school students got to see some cool BMX tricks, including seeing their favorite teachers and principals be hurdled by BMX bikes, while also learning about the importance of safety on our roads. Safety and wellness are priorities for the district, and it was great to provide this program to our middle school students!”
