Community Traffic Safety Program To Distribute “Don’t Drink & Drive” Coasters

Highway Safety News, TMA News | May 23rd, 2022

We are proud to announce we will be distributing “Don’t Drink and Drive” drink coasters through our Community Traffic Safety Program to restaurants, bars, breweries, and wineries throughout Bucks County to serve as a reminder to never drive impaired.

We made the announcement on May 23 at a PennDOT media event at the Newtown Township Police Department that highlighted Memorial Day traffic safety initiatives such as not driving impaired. We were joined by Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub, Newtown Township Police Department, Pennsylvania State Police and AAA.

We hope these coasters serve as an important warning to never to drive drunk or impaired.

“We really feel that these coasters can serve as a simple reminder for people out enjoying themselves throughout Bucks County to keep traffic safety at the top of their minds when getting behind the wheel,” explained TMA Bucks Community Traffic Safety Program manager Carly Mannon. “We want people to remember that buzzed driving is drunk driving. Even a small amount of alcohol can affect a person quickly. If you have to do something to make yourself okay to drive, you’re not okay to drive.”

Restaurants, bars, breweries, and wineries located in Bucks County can request coasters by filling out a form HERE.
