Bucks County High School Seatbelt Safety Challenge Update

Highway Safety News, TMA News | March 23rd, 2020

With so much uncertainty right now due to the COVID-19 situation, we wanted to provide an update on our Bucks County High School Seatbelt Safety Challenge.

First and foremost, we hope that everyone and their families are healthy during this difficult and surreal time. We wanted to thank all school administration, teachers and students for your hard work this year so far in promoting our Seatbelt Challenge and Teen Driver Safety Video PSA Challenge.

We are still hoping at some point to be able to hold spring follow up seatbelt surveys but we have absolutely no idea what the future will bring.

Our video PSAs were scheduled to be due April 1 and we understand that this deadline is not reasonable any longer. We have received one video to date and we understand with schools being closed several students do not have access to equipment or the ability to film or work together. With that being said, if any students were working on a video and can still complete it, please submit to us at any time. We are not sure how we will handle having a winner this year but we will absolutely properly recognize any videos we receive.

We are sorry for not providing much more clarity but we’ve never encountered this type of open-ended situation before.

Thank you again for your understanding and please remain safe and healthy. Our Seatbelt Challenge is always a success because of the hard work of the teachers and students and together we will at some point rebound from this.
