Our Community Traffic Safety Program continued its bicycle safety outreach efforts during “National Bicycle Safety Month” with an exciting BMX stunt show school safety assembly at Brookwood Elementary School in the Bristol Township School District and were joined by Bucks County District Attorney Joe Khan.

The event featured professional BMX riders from Dialed Action Sports, who delivered high-energy demonstrations while teaching first through fifth grade students about bicycle safety, including the importance of proper helmet use and safe riding habits.

“We appreciate TMA Bucks for organizing this event at Brookwood Elementary School, and teaching our students the importance of bicycle safety in an exciting way,” said Brookwood Elementary School Principal John Austerberry.

Bucks County DA Khan joined students, staff, and community partners for the assembly, helping reinforce the event’s important bicycle and helmet safety messages. His participation highlighted the importance of community collaboration in promoting student safety and injury prevention.

“On behalf of TMA Bucks, we sincerely thank Bucks County District Attorney Joe Khan for joining us at our BMX bike safety assembly and helping reinforce the importance of wearing a helmet and practicing safe biking habits,” said TMA Bucks Executive Director Stephen J. Noll. “By connecting these important safety messages with an exciting and engaging presentation, we’re helping students understand that making smart choices on their bikes can protect them from injuries and potentially save lives.”

The program was part of TMA Bucks’ ongoing efforts to educate young students and families about traffic safety and encourage safe bicycling practices throughout Bucks County.

Made possible through the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission’s Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside grant funding, this initiative was provided free of charge to the school district.
