In collaboration with the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission, our Community Traffic Safety Program recently brought an exciting BMX stunt show school safety assembly and presentation to Sixth Grade Center students of the Quakertown Community School District at Free Fall Action Park.
This innovative program underscored the critical importance of bicycle safety in a captivating and visually dynamic manner where professional BMX bikers performed aerial tricks and then spoke about bicycle safety and the rules of the road in words the students can relate to.
“Bringing the thrill of BMX bike stunts while emphasizing the importance of bicycle safety to middle school students was like igniting a spark of excitement and knowledge all at once,” explained TMA Bucks executive director Stephen J. Noll. “We were really excited to bring this to the Quakertown school community.”
Made possible through Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside grant funding, this initiative provided an engaging educational experience that merged thrill with safety awareness like the importance of always wearing a helmet.
