Our Community Traffic Safety Program recently partnered with the Doylestown Township Bike and Hike Committee to present “Bicycle Safety Week” at Kutz Elementary School in Doylestown Township.
On May 10, 11 and 12, staff from TMA Bucks were on hand in physical education classes to teach students in grades 3 to 6 the basics of helmet and bike fit, rules of the road and proper hand signals.
The objective of the safety event was to help the Kutz Elementary school community to safely take advantage of the amazing bike system in the Central Bucks area.
Children in grades K to 2 also had the opportunity to read books on bike safety in the library to introduce similar topics.
