Our Community Traffic Safety Program recently conducted bicycle safety lessons during physical education classes at Linden Elementary School of the Central Bucks School District from February 5-7.
The basics of proper helmet and bike fit, rules of the road, and correct hand signals to make to drivers and pedestrians were all taught during the lessons.
The main objective of the safety event was to help young students safely take advantage of the amazing bike and trail system in the Central Bucks area.
“Teaching young students bicycle safety isn’t just about the laws and rules, it’s about instilling responsibility, confidence, and awareness that can protect them for a lifetime,” explained our Community Traffic Safety Program manager Carly Wible.
