Bicycle Helmet Safety Message Delivered Through Guest Reading At Pearl S. Buck Elementary

Highway Safety News, TMA News | February 3rd, 2023

Our Community Traffic Safety Program manager Carly Mannon was recently the special guest reader at Pearl S. Buck Elementary School in the Neshaminy School District as she read the children’s safety book “Franklin’s Bicycle Helmet ” to all first-grade classes.

The book highlights the importance of always wearing a safety helmet when riding your bicycle and not to be influenced or peer pressured by those around you.

The book extended the learning for the students as their “Superkids” reading story recently focused on safety rules.

Anyone under the age of 12 must always wear a helmet when riding a bicycle says PennDOT. This applies to anyone operating the bicycle, riding as a passenger, or riding in an attached restraining seat or trailer.

If your school or daycare would like to schedule similar free programming please contact contact Carly at carly@bctma.com or 267-895-5186.
