Plans Available For Review For Business Route 1 Lincoln Highway Bridge Replacement

PennDOT News, Road Work Updates | April 26th, 2016

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project will begin soon in Bucks County, with one bridge due for replacement.

The project contractor, Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners (PWKP) invites the public to view a plans display for the bridge’s reconstruction, scheduled for spring of 2017:

BRIDGE: Lincoln Highway (Business Rt. 1) over Queen Anne Creek

LOCATION: Falls Township Office, 188 Lincoln Highway, Suite 100, Fairless Hills, PA 19030

Office hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

WHEN: April 27, 2016 – May 11, 2016

No traffic detours are proposed as the construction work will be staged so that traffic will be maintained on Lincoln Highway.

The bridge replacement is part of the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project, a public-private partnership (P3) between PennDOT and Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners (PWKP) under which PWKP will finance, design, replace and maintain the bridges for 25 years.

The P3 approach will allow PennDOT to replace the bridges more quickly while achieving significant savings and minimizing impact on motorists.
