Student groups at all participating high schools for the Bucks County High School Seatbelt Safety Challenge presented by NJM Insurance Group had the opportunity to submit votes to determine the winner.

“The strong message of ‘it can wait’ when driving clearly resonated with students across the county,” explained TMA Bucks Executive Director Stephen Noll. “This PSA serves as a great reminder that while you’re driving, no message, call, or attention from friends is more urgent than your life.”

The winning video was put together by students Austin Rambo, Chase Smith, and Jack Trickel.

Palisades received a $500 cash grant from TMA Bucks and the public service announcement will air on Comcast networking in the future.

“I’m so proud of my talented students, and I’m impressed with their hard work and dedication they put into this project,” said Palisades School District, Athletic Director & Business Education Department Chair Brian Gilbert. “I challenged them to think outside the box and they did just that. Palisades loves being part of this important public service announcement message and we are excited and humbled to be this year’s winner.”

Other schools that submitted videos this year were: Bensalem High School, Central Bucks High School East, Central Bucks High School South, Conwell-Egan Catholic High School, Council Rock High School North, New Hope-Solebury High School, Pennsbury High School, Quakertown Community High School, and Upper Bucks Technical High School. As part of the annual Bucks County High School Seatbelt Safety Challenge presented by NJM Insurance all participating high schools had the opportunity to produce and submit a 30-second video PSA on teen driver safety.

“Comcast is proud to once again support the TMA Bucks Teen Driver Safety Video PSA Challenge,” said Janet Steiner, Senior Manager of Government and Regulatory Affairs for Comcast. “This initiative empowers students to use their creativity and digital skills to raise awareness about safe driving while delivering powerful messages that can influence their peers to make smarter, safer choices behind the wheel.”

Winners of the Seatbelt Challenge will be announced at a later date.
