PennDOT District 6 says Interstate 95 and Interstate 295 motorists in Bucks County will encounter single lane closures on Monday, January 14, through Friday, January 18 from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM for sub-base and guide rail installation on a project to repair and resurface 13 miles of the interstates in Bensalem, Bristol, Middletown and Lower Makefield townships. The work locations are:
- Northbound I-95 and eastbound I-295 between the Route 132 (Street Road) and Route 413 (Bristol) interchanges for sub-base installation.
- Northbound and southbound I-95 between the Academy Road and Pennsylvania Turnpike interchanges for guide rail installation.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling on I-95 and I-295 in the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling, overlaying and rehabilitating existing pavement; performing base repairs; installing new guide rail; repairing or replacing damaged traffic signs; performing minor bridge deck repairs; and installing rumble strips and delineators along the I-95 and I-295 corridor in Bucks County.
