PennDOT News | October 31st, 2016

PennDOT will hold an open house public meeting on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to inform citizens about the upcoming project to reconstruct and widen U.S. 1 (Lincoln Highway) between Old Lincoln Highway and the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Bensalem Township, Bucks County.

The public meeting will be held at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Yardley Ballroom, which is located at 4700 Street Road, Trevose. The meeting will feature an open house plans display where citizens will have the opportunity to circulate among the various subject displays to gather information and discuss the different facets of the project with PennDOT’s project team.

PennDOT plans to reconstruct and widen U.S. 1 Lincoln Highway between Old Lincoln Highway and the Pennsylvania Turnpike to three lanes in each direction; reconfigure the U.S. 1/Turnpike interchange; and replace three structurally-deficient bridges.

Construction bids are expected to be opened in September 2017 and the construction is expected to be completed in early 2019.
