PennDOT To Host Open House Meeting For Bristol Road Improvement Project In Bucks County

PennDOT will hold an open house public plans display on Wednesday, December 12 at 6:30 PM in Bensalem Township Municipal Building at 2400 Byberry Road in Bensalem to inform citizens about the upcoming project to improve travel safety on Bristol Road between Old Lincoln Highway and Pasqualone Boulevard in Bensalem Township, Bucks County.

Under this project, PennDOT will widen and reconfigure Bristol Road and install signal upgrades. A center lane will be added along the corridor to provide better flow and access for motorists turning onto residential streets or businesses along Bristol Road and allow smoother transitions at intersections.

The purpose of the open house is to present the public with progress plans and a status update on the project. The meeting will be conducted as an open-house plans display where citizens will have the opportunity to circulate among the subject displays to gather information and discuss the different facets of the project with PennDOT’s design team.

Construction bids on this improvement project are expected to open in 2020.
