Northeast Extension (I-476) Northbound Lane Closures Scheduled Overnight

PA Turnpike News, Road Work Updates | July 26th, 2018

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists traveling on the Northeast Extension (I-476) to be prepared for overnight single lane traffic patterns southbound July 26-27 for construction between the Lansdale and Quakertown interchanges.

On Thursday, July 26, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, and on Friday, July 27, from 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, the southbound right lane will be closed between mileposts A32 and A34 for drilling to support excavation for construction of the new Turnpike bridge over Schoolhouse Road in Lower Salford Township.

The work is part of the $225 million widening and reconstruction project that is currently underway between the Lansdale and Quakertown interchanges in Montgomery County.

Expect delays for travel through all work areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
