I-95 Overnight Lane Closures Continue For Repair & Resurfacing Project

PennDOT says intermittent overnight lane closures are scheduled on northbound and southbound Interstate 95 between New Falls Road and the Yardley/Newtown Interchange for construction activities related to a project to repair and resurface 13 miles of Interstate 95 in Bensalem, Bristol, Middletown and Lower Makefield townships, Bucks County.

The work schedule is as follows:

  • Monday, November 13, through Friday, November 17, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, intermittent lane closures are scheduled on northbound I-95.
  • Monday, November 13, through Friday, November 17, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM, intermittent lane closures are scheduled on southbound I-95.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling on I-95 in the work areas because backups and delays will occur. The contractor’s schedule is weather dependent.

Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling, overlaying and rehabilitating existing pavement; performing base repairs; installing new guide rail; repairing or replacing damaged traffic signs; performing minor bridge deck repairs; and installing rumble strips and delineators along the I-95 corridor in Bucks County.

The entire project is scheduled to be completed in fall 2018.
