Fleecy Dale Road Bridge Closed Indefinitely In Solebury Township Due To Serious Deterioration

PennDOT News, Road Work Updates | January 19th, 2019

PennDOT District 6 says the bridge carrying Fleecy Dale Road over branch of Paunacussing Creek in Solebury Township, Bucks County is closed indefinitely due to serious deterioration of the stone masonry wingwall.

Fleecy Dale Road will be closed north of Fretz Mill Road until PennDOT maintenance can examine the damage and develop a plan to repair the structure.

During the closure, Fleecy Dale Road motorists will be detoured over Route 32 (River Road), Greenhill Road, Mechanicsville Road, and Aquetong Road. Local access will be maintained up to the bridge closure.

The one-span, stone masonry arch bridge was originally built in 1850, is 11 feet long, 18 feet wide and carries an average of 123 vehicles a day.
